DIGITAL FILM IMAGING

We operate an AGFA Avantra imagesetters and can provide film in any size up to 36" x 44.5". Turnaround is fast, density is excellent and dot quality is superb. We are one of the best providers in the market.

  1. Here are some additional film specs:

    • 4ml thickness, in satin or matte finish
    • Registration punches available on request
    • Multiple screening options (ABS, Stochastic, Hybrid).
    • 1200, 1800, 2400, 3600 DPIs contract proof capable of proofing on specialized paper.
    • We offer random, saving files for placement, and we often save hi-res files to CDs.
    • We offer bluelines, color keys, and Fujiproofs. The Fuji proofing system is a widely accepted, and provides a contact proof capable of proofing on specialized paper.

  2. Multiple processes, not just offset. We are experienced with film output for many different production methods:

    • Screen printing
    • Die making
    • Flexography
    • Circuit board printing
    • Alternative Processes ( ie, carbon, platinum and others)

  3. In the case of a logo there may be details that are more pronounced that need to be raised above the rest of the embossed area. Think of this type as a stair step.

    • Other times the emboss may require a rounded bevel or in some cases a sculpted die is called for
    • Another type of multi-level die is a Combination Die or “combo die”. This type of die can emboss and foil stamp in one pass.

  4. Special effects printing is utilizing unorthodox print inks, varnishes, coatings, substrates, powders, or other materials to print illusions, abnormal visual impressions, or visual tricks to attract a viewer to a printed part.
